Our client was an early stage business in the meat substitutes space with a proprietary technology that produces high quality, tasty vegan and vegetarian meat substitutes. The business had invested in manufacturing capabilities and was on the cusp of commercialisation. We were asked to develop a business strategy for the company.
We evaluated market developments across Europe and identified opportunities in the market. We analysed the businesses sources of competitive advantage based on an assessment of competing meat analogue competitors, their technologies, brands, capabilities.
Our recommendations were around geographic and channel focus to commercialise the business as rapidly as possible. We made recommendations about brand priorities and improvement and around opportunities within the supply chain.
We subsequently worked with management on a fund-raising to take the business to the next phase of development
