FSA advised a major US private equity client on a potential confectionery acquisition with a comprehensive assessment of retailers’ voluntary removal of certain HFSS categories from supermarket check-outs in the UK and other markets from the 1990s to present day. Our client wanted to understand the nature of that impact if any, and its implications for other categories and markets.
FSA conducted a full analysis of the situation through market scan information and detailed interviews with senior management from major retailers, manufacturers and industry bodies in both the UK and the USA.
